  7. Final plans have been announced for IFIP Congress '92 -- the 12th
  8. World Computer Congress of the International Federation for
  9. Information Processing (IFIP) -- which will be held in Madrid, 7-11
  10. September 1992.

  12. The Congress will comprise five streams, which will be presented
  13. during all five days of the Congress, and two subconferences, which
  14. will run for two and one half days each:

  18.     From Architectures to Chips
  19.     Informatics and Education
  20.     The Vulnerability of the Information Society: Social, Legal,
  21.       and Security Aspects
  22.     Software Development and Maintenance
  23.     Algorithms and Efficient Computation
  24.  
  25.   subconferences:
  26.  
  27.     Expanding the Power of the Personal Computer
  28.     Enhancing the Intelligence in Information Systems
  29.  
  30. For information about submitting papers and posters, please contact
  31. the IFIP Congress '92 Committee at the address given at the end of
  32. this article.  The deadlines for receipt of papers and posters are 10
  33. January and 15 April 1992, respectively.  Proceedings will be
  34. published by Elsevier/North-Holland.

  36. In addition to the streams, subconferences, and workshops, there will
  37. be tutorials, an exhibition, technical visits, and a tourist program
  38. that will coincide with the Spanish celebration of the 500th
  39. anniversary of Columbus's discovery of America.
